I am a story teller. The thought of starting my own photography business began with the idea of creating and telling stories. I have an immense passion and love for capturing candid moments and helping people tell their stories through photographs.
Ever since I picked up a film camera and shot the first roll of Film I felt personally connected to the process. It wasn't the same feeling of taking an image off of a digital camera or phone but more of an artistic feeling. When I felt this immediate connection to the camera and the subject I knew that I wanted to tell stories with this tool.
I started telling stories of the city of Charlotte by shooting street photography in Charlotte, Nc. I was extremely captured by how powerful street photography can be. Capturing people candidly on the street as the day was moving along always spoke to me as a photographer. There are plenty of stories to be told on the street, i just had to stop and take my time to notice them.
The love for street photography eventually led me to the interest in portrait photography. I gained a respect for capturing subjects in different creative outdoor settings and lighting after taking some images of my wife on multiple trips her and I took. I now love taking portraits because it allows me to think creatively and differently. It’s almost as if I am painting a portrait right before me in real life. It is truly an incredible feeling that I will continue to chase as a photographer.
What’s next? I would love to eventually become a traveling photographer. As mentioned above, I love telling stories. I would love to eventually tell stories of remote locations around the world through my photographs. These are all things that I have an immense passion for: traveling, photographing, and telling stories.
I hope to continue my journey as a photographer and would love to collaborate and work with any other photographers and models.
